Our client has been evolving their Building Services consultancy since the 1970s. They now have five regional offices and are looking to enhance their Oxford branch. They are a medium sized business with a brand and reputation which brings projects ranging from large-scale new build and refurbishment projects to smaller value design and construction work. The have long term relationships with clients adding value at every stage of Building Services development, from initial survey and concept through to the design, engineering.
The ideal candidate is a Mechanical Building Services Consultant Engineer with demonstrable knowledge of undertaking all aspects of Mechanical Engineering works for new build and refurbishment projects within; Commercial, Residential, Healthcare and Education establishments, from inception to completion.
You should be competent with the use of IES and AutoCAD software and be working towards or a member of CIBSE or similar.
This is a fantastic opportunity which could offer a fast-track to Associate level, and have a direct report to the Head of the department and have a say in the running of your team and direction if the business.
As well as having an eye on the future you will, as a Mechanical Building services engineer, have responsibility for:
• mechanical services design
• sustainable and renewable energy design
• thermal modelling
• building regulation compliance checks
• life cycle cost analysis.
You will become involved in a wide range of building projects in many sectors including local government, health, schools, further education, universities, residential, retail and commercial.
Qualifications & Experience
You will have prior demonstrable knowledge of Mechanical Building Services design within a variety of environments and have:
• A mechanical engineering degree or similar
• Knowledge of Mechanical Building Services design
