The client:
One of my best clients in Central London, an international M&E Consultancy is looking for a Project Coordinator to join their team in London. They do work within a variety of different projects including commercial, residential and infrastructure. They do offer a great career progression and great benefits including 25 days of holiday, pension and child care voucher.

The Role

The role of a project coordinator:
The primary responsibility of the Project Coordinator is to monitor the delivery of a project against pre-agreed milestones; this will be achieved through regular interface with the Project/Design Engineer, regular consultation with third party service providers (largely utility companies), and the ability to communicate progress (and shortfalls in progress) verbally and through a range of other tools (largely using the wider MS Office suite). Our ‘Infrastructure Services’ team provide technical, commercial and procurement advice (plus reports, drawings and other construction related documents) to enable residential and commercial developers to install and commission new water, gas, district energy, electricity and telecommunication infrastructure to a number of major projects in a timely, and fully de-risked, manner. This includes early enabling and temporary works. The role of the Project Coordinator is therefore very important to the success of the business: We are anticipating a technically adept person with ambitions for Project Management.

Qualifications & Experience

The individual:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ project coordination experience, preferably gained in a construction or construction management focussed company. You will have the ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of project management processes, and will be keen to develop your career in project coordination / management over the coming years. You will have excellent communication skills at all levels and have a very persuasive phone manner. You will ideally be educated to HND/HNC level, however relevant experience is more important
