One of a leading consultancies in Scotland has now got an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer within Building Services to play an active role in all stages of our projects from feasibility through to completion across several sectors, including commercial, industrial, education, health and mixed-use developments. The company has been established over 50 years ago and has also got presence in the South England with a satellite office in London. The Role

manage and forecast spend, using whole life cycle costing techniques, ensuring that work is kept to budget and energy efficient systems are implemented
design site-specific equipment as required
oversee and supervise the installation of building systems and specify maintenance and operating procedures
monitor building systems and processes
make decisions about expired systems equipment and the appropriate location of new equipment
liaise closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, builders, architects and surveyors and in-house project teams
attend a range of project group and technical meetings
ensure that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 2 to 5+ years’ in engineering design within the Building Services Industry.
Candidates should ideally have a degree in either building services engineering or electrical engineering
Electrical Engineer should be proficient in the use of relevant industry design software (i.e. AutoCad, NBS, Amtech etc).
Revit would also be advantageous.
Excellent written and numerical skills along with a positive attitude
