The Company

A well established international Building Services Consultancy that I am representing at the moment is looking for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of Building Services in Mechanical Design Engineering and will be willing to develop highly engineered solutions within a wide range of environments. These will include both commercial developments and lots of different projects. Experience within this area will be an advantage.

The Role

Desired Skills and Experience

BSc/BEng or degree in appropriate engineering discipline or have sufficient equivalent experience
MCIBSE/MIEE or HNC/HND plus appropriate experience or equivalent
Working towards Chartered Eng status
Significant experience of specification design for several building types
Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation
Knowledge of MS Office applications word, excel etc
Ability to use IT based calculation and spreadsheet software
Good understanding of BS standards/ UK Regulations/Codes
Ability to prioritise own workload
good knowledge on AutoCAD, IES and Hevacomp
Ability to work to deadlines
Managerial skills
Presentation skills

Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering would be a great asset
willing to work on your own and within a team and be responsible for your own development
ideally somebody who would like to become a Chartered Engineer in the future
