The Company

BSV are looking for a Mechanical Project Manager on behalf of our Client a highly successful Central London based M&E Subcontractor, to effectively manage Mechanical Building Services installations on fast-track Commercial fit-out projects. They are looking for a seasoned Mechanical Project Manager to be a key player in their ever expanding team. If you are a Mechanical Project Manager with a proven track record of completing projects in a fast paced environment on time and on budget, this is the opportunity for you.

The Role

As a Mechanical Project Manager working for our client, some of your responsibilities will include:
• Produce site specific method statements and risk assessments.
• Produce detailed technical submittals and proposals.
• Produce procurement schedules (updated weekly).
• Produce RFI’s and associated information and back-ups.
• Produce building work in connection requests BWIC.
• Review and make comment on design issues.
• Provide all O&M information as requested by administration.
• Produce weekly progress reports.
• Produce construction and commissioning programmes.
• Manage daily tasks on site.
• Management of Trade Contractors.
• Manage client expectations.
• Arrangement of deliveries and procurement.
• Management of water treatment and commissioning.
• Attend weekly services meeting with main contractor.
• Attend sub-contractor’s weekly meetings.
• Reporting to Project Directors, project directors will take the role of commercial management, but candidates will be required to inform and provide any information that requires commercial attention, such as additional scope of works, site instructions, etc.
• Project managers may be asked with the help in the training of young junior project engineers that are based on site to help and learn from their senior management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Building Services relevant HNC, HND or Degree is preferred.
• Demonstrable experience in managing Commercial fit-out projects.
• CSCS Card
• SMSTS Certification
• Knowledge of CIBSE (Guide B & C), BSRIA Standards, Part F Regulations, Part L Regulations, L8 Regulations, British Standards (example BS EN 806 Chlorination of domestic water), DW144 & DW172 guidelines.
