The Job

The Company

BSV are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Site Supervisor on behalf of our client, a highly successful, privately owned design and build Mechanical Building Services contractor. The majority of the projects being undertaken will be Commercial, but they also get involved with Residential, Hospitals, Colleges and Museums projects up to the value of around £2.5m. The Role

• Supervising and monitoring the workload of directly employed labour and specialist sub-contractors for the mechanical services.
• Taking the responsibility for work allocation, maintaining performance standards, overtime supervision, signing of time sheets and issuing site instructions for sub-contractors.
• Provide technical support and first line supervision to the mechanical section, raising RFI's, issuing builder’s work requests & looking over risk assessments and method statements.
• Resource and ordering materials with the Buying Department and from mainstream suppliers.
• Maintain relevant on site records of plant and equipment data.
• Undertake administrative duties appertaining to staff requirements, for example procuring labour through employment agencies and permits to work.
• Provide project support for Project Manager and Senior Mechanical Engineer.
• Monitoring performance against the contract programme and setting sectional target completion dates.

Qualifications & Experience

• Our client is open to candidates at any level of qualification
• Demonstrable experience Supervising and quality checking Mechanical Building services installations
• Prior experience in the installations of Mechanical Building Services on Commercial projects
