The Job

The Company

An established HVAC and Electrical installer, £40m turnover, has been awarded a second phase to what will be London’s largest residential building site.

The Role

This is a new position based on the award of a second phase of this £11.5m HVAC and mechanical services contract for new-build residential dwellings. The role involves making sure the Quality and completion of Building Services, managing the completion and quality of predominately plumbing and heating on 1000 residential apartment projects over a 12 month period.

Qualifications & Experience

determining, negotiating and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications
assessing client/consultant requirements and ensuring that these are met
setting installation standards
specifying quality requirements of materials with suppliers
investigating and setting standards for quality and health and safety
ensuring that installation processes comply with consultant and Building regulations standards at both national and international level
working with operating staff to establish procedures, standards, systems and procedures
writing management and technical reports
determining training needs
acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality
directing objectives to maximise profitability
recording, analysing and distributing statistical information
monitoring performance
supervising technical staff.

Skills, Knowledge and Competences required:

Project management experience gained within mechanical, electrical, gas, plumbing, and heating, and or building services.
NVQ Level 3 plumbing and heating (or equivalent) as a minimum
Able to communicate effectively and successfully influence people at all levels within our organisation.
Knowledge of industry health and safety standards
The Ability to read, interpret and fully understand specification and drawings
