The Job

The Company

I am representing one of my top clients within Building Services in Central London that is currently for a trainee SAP/EPC Assessor to work within our busy Energy and Sustainability group which forms part of the Mechanical and Engineering Team. This position would suit a sixth form/college leaver, with an aptitude to learn.

Upon successful completion of a probationary period, the successful candidate will be expected to attend an accredited course to become a qualified SAP and EPC assessor. Those showing exemplar enthusiasm and professionalism in their work can potentially progress their studies via a sponsored part-time degree in a related energy, sustainability or engineering course.

The Role

Duties will include:
• Working closely with the SAP and BREEAM group manager as well as members of our M&E engineering and sustainability teams.
• To scale off architectural plans and elevation drawings.
• Review of technical specifications and manufactures literature for relevant performance data.
• Use accredited software to generate and issue design stage Building Regulations Part L 2013 compliance documents, Code for Sustainable Homes and SAP worksheets.
• Provide Energy Performance Certificates once SAP accredited course has been completed.
• Provide clients with advice on how schemes can comply with Building Regulation Part L and other sustainability requirements.
• Aid in the development of energy strategies for new developments.
• On a daily basis deal with client related issues and provide professional services as required.
• Work closely with supervising line manager on all SAP and energy matters.
• Report on a daily/weekly basis progress on job related matters.
• CPD programme for minimum hours as recommended by the NHER.
• Attend project design team meetings as required.
• Attend in house group meetings and seminars.
• Attend one to one reviews at half yearly intervals.
