The Company:

Our client integrates mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering into the broader building consultancy framework, offering both M&E project management and operational engineering services. The team, composed of Chartered Design Engineers, delivers efficient and sustainable solutions by minimizing energy use in building services such as heating, cooling, lighting, and ventilation. Sophisticated analytical tools are employed to ensure data-driven decisions throughout the design and construction phases. A commitment to excellence, sustainability, and client collaboration drives the delivery of high-quality M&E services, resulting in practical, reliable, and environmentally friendly buildings that meet the highest industry standards.

Core Responsibilities:

Develops comprehensive electrical designs, covering schematics, LV distribution, lighting, small power & data, fire alarm, and security layouts.
Provides support to the Design/Engineering team to ensure all project milestones are met.
Performs calculations in line with the latest British Standards.
Aims to reduce expenses and non-billable costs.
Participates in design team meetings, both internally and with clients.
Effectively communicates design solutions to internal stakeholders and external clients.
Delivers presentations to external organizations, clients, and peer groups.
Manages tasks to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
Assists lead engineers in gathering and distributing project information to the project team.
Uses software tools like AutoCAD, Trimble, Relux, Microsoft Office, and Revit (Revit experience is not mandatory).
Ensures that all designs are in compliance with employer requirements, British Standards, and relevant regulations.

Role Requirements:

A Building Services Engineering HNC, or an equivalent degree in a related field.
Experience with CAD software.
Proficiency in electrical engineering design principles.
