Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with demonstratable knowledge, particularly in the rail sector. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team on a range of rail infrastructure projects, contributing to the design and development of mechanical systems. The role will involve collaboration with civil, structural, and geotechnical experts to ensure seamless project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design mechanical systems for rail infrastructure, including HVAC, fire protection, and other mechanical services.
• Prepare detailed mechanical design drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure integrated design solutions across projects.
• Ensure compliance with relevant UK rail standards and regulations.
• Assist in project management, including coordination with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments as required.
Requirements:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least two years of mechanical design experience in the UK, specifically within the rail sector.
• Proficient in relevant software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and familiar with UK rail standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
