Out client is a Building Services Design Consultancy based in Nottingham which has years of experience in both consultancy and contracting. They deliver sustainable and energy efficient building services for a very diverse range of clients, such as local authorities, developers and blue-chip companies.

Core Responsibilities:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer (Building Services), you would need to be from a consultancy, with several years of UK experience, and excellent in communicating with clients. This Senior role will also include training and mentoring graduates. Because this is a small to medium size firm you would be working closes with directors and the rest of your team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the electrical design process for building services, including power, lighting, fire alarms and security systems.
• Develop detailed design drawings, specification and technical reports.
• Perform dynamic thermal modelling and energy efficiency calculations to optimise system performance.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with UK regulations and industry standards.
• Oversee the work of junior engineers and provide mentorship.

Qualifications & Skills:

A Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Experience in Electrical Design within the Building Services sector
Proficiency with industry- standard software
Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and sustainability practices
Experience with BREAAM and renewable energy technology is an advantage
