Overview:
Our clients are seeking a Senior Energy and Sustainability Consultant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in energy modeling, thermal performance assessments, and sustainability consulting for the built environment. This role focuses on delivering energy assessments, including SAP, SBEM, and thermal modeling, to support building performance, regulatory compliance, and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead energy performance assessments using SAP and SBEM tools for residential and commercial projects.
• Conduct thermal modeling and analysis to ensure buildings meet energy efficiency and sustainability standards.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate energy-efficient designs into projects.
• Prepare energy and sustainability reports, including recommendations for performance improvements.
• Support the development of sustainability strategies and initiatives for new and existing buildings.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in energy performance and sustainability.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Building Services Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Experience in energy modeling and assessment using SAP, SBEM, and other relevant tools.
• Proven track record of delivering energy performance assessments and sustainability consulting for a range of building types.
• In-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations, particularly energy efficiency standards.
• Experience working with building physics, thermal comfort modeling, and sustainable building design.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., BREEAM, CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant, or similar) are a plus.
Skills:
• Expertise in SAP and SBEM software.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and innovation.
