Role Overview:

They are looking for a motivated and experienced BIM Technician with at least 5 years of Stage 5 experience to join their growing team. The successful candidate will play a role in delivering detailed and accurate BIM models that support the successful delivery of their mechanical and electrical projects. The position offers an opportunity to work on exciting projects across various sectors, including healthcare, education, and commercial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage BIM models for mechanical and electrical services at Stage 5, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Collaborate with the design team, engineers, and contractors to ensure models align with design intent and are coordinated across all disciplines.
• Support the development of detailed construction drawings and documentation from BIM models.
• Conduct clash detection and resolve coordination issues within the BIM environment.
• Assist in the preparation of project-specific BIM execution plans and ensure adherence to BIM standards and procedures.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input related to the BIM process.
• Ensure BIM models are maintained throughout the construction phase and updated with as-built information where necessary.
• Collaborate with external partners and clients to ensure seamless integration of BIM processes across project teams.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM, with a strong focus on Stage 5 delivery.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and other relevant BIM software.
• Experience in mechanical and electrical services, with a strong understanding of MEP design processes.
• Excellent understanding of BIM standards, including BS EN ISO 19650 and other relevant industry standards.
• Strong coordination skills and ability to resolve technical issues within the BIM environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of low-carbon and sustainable design principles is desirable.
