Core Responsibilities:

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be overseeing junior staff, handling engineering designs, managing projects, and monitoring costs based on project budgets and timelines. Responsibilities include assisting with fee assessments and bids. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, self-motivated team players with experience in smaller consultancies, capable of managing clients, producing designs, specifications, drawings, and cost estimates from inception to completion.

• In-depth knowledge of current Building Regulations, especially energy-related controls
• Consultancy experience
• Design work for a large contractor
• Project management of multi-disciplinary projects
• Creation of detailed specifications
• Manual and software-based design calculations
• Manual drawing production; CAD experience is essential
• Preparation of tender packages and analysis
• Development of service budget costings
• Conducting site surveys across the UK using personal vehicle or public transport
• On-site project management
• Preparation of condition reports
• Supervision of junior staff
• Direct client interaction

• IEE Regulations
• CDM Regulations

• Revit / BIM Standards (UK)

Education:

• Qualified to at least HNC or Degree Level
