Key Responsibilities:
• Act as an Electrical Design Engineer across multiple projects, with responsibility for the electrical design, some reporting, project coordination, administration, and client liaison.
• Ensure design quality and collaborate with the project team to deliver high-quality electrical solutions.
• Assist the project lead in managing team resources and workload, setting and managing design goals with senior team members, and attending weekly team meetings.
• Foster a positive, “can-do” attitude within the MEP design team, promoting this mindset on every project.

Duties:
• Manage personal design workloads, ensuring completed work is submitted for QA in a timely manner, aligned with client target dates.
• Continuously seek to adopt the latest industry practices and innovate in design approaches.
• Assist sustainability engineers by providing input data for modeling and reviewing reports for accuracy.
• Play an active role in teamwork, promoting collaboration and consultation within the team.
• Maintain a desire to expand knowledge of other engineering disciplines.
• Manage and deliver detailed electrical designs, meeting deadlines agreed upon with the project lead.
• Perform calculations for electrical systems, ensuring designs meet required standards for lighting, power, and other building services.
• Coordinate designs with mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration across disciplines.
• Attend and contribute to design team meetings, providing updates to the wider team.

Client Relations and Marketing:
Ensure client satisfaction by addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly and courteously.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, assessing and responding to their current and future needs.
Uphold high standards of performance and quality of service in all client interactions.

Report directly to the Senior Engineer or Project/Business Director.
Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical engineers within the project team, with technical support from senior engineers or directors as needed.

Technical Skills:
• Have a solid understanding of building regulations, CIBSE documentation, British Standards, BSRIA guidelines, and other design guides related to the building services industry.
• Be proficient in IT, including working knowledge of software like Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Hevacomp.
• Working towards CIBSE membership

Qualifications and Experience:
A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in electrical design engineering is required, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the industry.
