Job Description:

This independent M&E building services consultancy is looking for a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. This presents an exciting opportunity for a talented Junior Engineer to become part of a growing company that specializes in providing innovative and sustainable electrical design solutions across various sectors, including residential, commercial, healthcare, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and emergency lighting.
• Support senior engineers in producing detailed electrical designs, calculations, and technical specifications.
• Work collaboratively with project teams, including architects, structural engineers, and contractors, to ensure electrical systems are integrated smoothly into building designs.
• Use relevant software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design tools (e.g., Amtech, Dialux) to produce accurate drawings and designs.
• Assist in preparing design reports, technical documents, and project proposals.
• Participate in site visits and inspections to ensure that installations comply with design specifications and industry standards.
• Stay updated on the latest electrical design trends, building regulations, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of electrical design principles and building services.
• Familiarity with industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant electrical design tools (Amtech, Dialux).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• A willingness to learn and develop skills in a fast-paced, professional environment.
