Role Overview:
They are seeking an experienced Senior to Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. They will lead electrical design projects, provide technical expertise, and mentor junior engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet project specifications and client requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to advance their career while working on diverse and challenging projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead and manage electrical design projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet budget, timeframes, and quality standards.
•Develop and design electrical systems for a range of building types, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, security, and renewable energy solutions.
•Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports.
•Conduct site surveys, attend client meetings, and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordinated project delivery.
•Provide technical expertise and innovative solutions to solve complex engineering challenges.
•Manage and mentor a team of junior engineers and designers, providing guidance and technical support.
•Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and codes.
•Maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for electrical design matters.
•Support business development activities, including writing proposals and contributing to bids.
Qualifications and Experience:
•Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
•Chartered Engineer status or working towards it (CEng) with a recognized institution such as IET or CIBSE.
•Extensive experience in electrical building services design, ideally within a consultancy environment.
•Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design tools (e.g., Amtech).
•Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., BS7671, Building Regulations, etc.).
•Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience overseeing teams and coordinating multidisciplinary projects.
•Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
•Commitment to sustainable design and a good understanding of renewable energy technologies.
