About the Role
We’re looking for an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join a busy and fast-growing Building Services team working out of a South London office. With a strong pipeline of high-end residential and prestigious commercial fit-out projects—including work at landmark sites – this is a fantastic opportunity for a technically capable engineer who’s ready to hit the ground running.
You’ll be working alongside a close-knit team, supported by a hands-on director. The atmosphere is collaborative, delivery-focused, and suited to someone who’s self-motivated, organized, and ready to take ownership of their work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and coordinating mechanical building services systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) across high-end residential and commercial projects
- Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion
- Liaising with clients, architects, contractors, and internal design teams
- Attending site and design meetings
- Producing technical drawings and specifications
- Ensuring designs meet current building regulations and sustainability goals
What We’re Looking For
- 3–6 years’ experience in mechanical building services design (consultancy-side preferred)
- Strong technical ability and confidence in taking on project work with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and IES
- Understanding of UK Building Regulations and CIBSE standards
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
