The Buildng Information Modelling (BIM) Job

The Senior Digital Design Lead / Buildng Information Modelling Manager will be responsible for driving the strategic development, implementation, and maintenance BIM standards. This will work across the whole Building Services consultancy business.

This individual will lead the creation, governance, and continuous improvement of multi-platform design standards. You will be ensuring quality and consistency across a wide range of engineering disciplines and software environments.
In addition to strategic leadership, the role will involve hands-on coordination of BIM/CAD modelling between the Building Services design team. You will oversee a team of 3D BIM modellers, ensuring efficient, accurate workflows using Autodesk Revit, and other relevant platforms.
The position supports Building Services design, ensuring Buildng Information Modelling outputs meet client, project, and industry standards. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, providing leadership and support to teams across the UK and internationally. You will be promoting the value of BIM adoption. Acting as a digital delivery advocate, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across all project stages.

The BIM Role

You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead and manage a team of Buildng Information Modelling Managers, focused on Building Services Design
• Oversee Buildng Information Modelling delivery across major projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction
• Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans and digital strategies
• Manage commercial aspects of BIM involvement including resourcing and budgeting
• Act as the key contact for BIM delivery in London
• Contribute to national BIM strategy and business planning Collaborating as part of a team to produce accurate 3D ‘co-ordinated’ MEP services models
• Working with the Project Managers and discipline engineers to define deliverables schedules, implementing these within the model for commercial scale projects.
• Supporting the Building Services project team with technical delivery using Revit and other BIM related software
• Drawing production of modelled elements.
• Preparing final presentation drawing sheets with dimensions, tagging and crucial information ready to be issued.
