The Job

The Company

BSV are looking for Intermediate Mechanical & Electrical Quantity Surveyors on behalf of a Building Services M&E Subcontractor based in London. Due to large influx of projects, they require a M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Central London on a perm or contract basis. Typically working in the fast track fit out commercial, data centre, health care and residential sectors up to £5m, you will be joining a strong team to work on site in Central London.

The Role

As an M&E Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for:

Price variations and measure drawings
MEP post contract duties, either site or office based
Review the Preparation of cost plans relating to MEP works
Managing the process of Agreement of MEP final accounts
Tender evaluation & assessment
Assistance with the negotiation of contracts
Preparing and presenting cash flow & cost management advice to clients
Interpreting and offering advice on MEP contracts
Ensuring contractual notices and client entitlements relating to Mechanical/electrical/plumbing contracts are properly administered
Preparation of recommendations for award of MEP contracts
Managing the process of Measuring & valuing variations
Preparation of contractor's payment recommendations
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical installations required
Attending meetings with clients and contractors

Qualifications & Experience

Experience and Qualifications:

BSc in Quantity Surveying, similar level degree or vocational qualification (or equivalent)
Minimum of 3 years relevant Mechanical & Electrical Building Services experience
Proven background history working on fast track commercial or residential projects
Clean UK driving licence
Computer literate – able to work in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Salary or contract rate is dependable upon experience and ability.
