Overview of the role:
The Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer will work alongside the M&E design team, supporting and assisting senior engineers in delivering Mechanical Services Design throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves full Mechanical Systems Design across a range of projects, including Educational, Residential, Commercial, and others.

Responsibilities:
1. Implement company procedures and policies.
2. Assist with mechanical design and project management, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
3. Provide mechanical engineering support to the design team, assisting both senior and junior engineers.
4. Liaise with clients and attend project meetings.
5. Help maintain and expand the client base.
6. Conduct surveys and produce detailed reports.
7. Perform quality inspections on projects.
8. Use CAD systems in accordance with company procedures.
9. Undertake tasks assigned by the Group Director.
Role Requirements:
• Produce detailed specifications
• Possess knowledge and experience in current Building Regulations, GLA London Plan, renewable technologies, thermal modeling, SAPs, SBEM    calculations, EPCs, BREEAM, Passivhaus standards, CIBSE TM59, and overheating strategies/calculations
• Perform design calculations manually and using software
• Produce manual drawing mark-ups
• Basic AutoCAD skills; experience with Bluebeam and Revit is advantageous
• Assist in the production of tender packages
• Assist in tender analysis of returned tender packages
• Support with budget costings for all services
• Conduct site surveys
• Produce condition reports
• Support Senior Engineers in mentoring junior staff
• Liaise directly with clients
Education:
• Qualified to at least HNC level or equivalent
• Knowledge of:
• CIBSE Guides
• CDM Regulations
• British Standards
• Revit/BIM
• Building Regulations
Computer Skills:
• Hevacomp/IES VE
• Windows
• Excel/Word
• Autocad
• Microsoft Project
• Must be a team player
