Revit MEP Technician – Ref: 1558

One of my very good clients in London is expanding their BIM department therefore they are looking for an enthusiastic Revit MEP Technician to join their medium sized team in Central London. My client is a well established company with the offices all over the world and a main office in London and because of that they are now looking for an individual who is passionate about the field of Building Services and being keen to use the skills on Revit MEP software.
As the firm was founded back in the sixties and has got almost 140 partners and over 25 offices in the world. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is keen to develop his/hers skills on Revit MEP and being able to work on some prestigious projects in the UK and abroad.
Job responsibilities for a MEP BIM Technician:
- Setup of Revit models, population of view, sheets and filters
- Modification and creation of families
- Review project files for compliance with standards
- Producing accurate 3D models and output of 2D drawings
- Creation of Navisworks models and clash reports
- Coordinating drawing production in line with project requirements and in conjunction with the other disciplines
- Able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Able to work autonomously and working within a team
- Knowledge on BIM standards and best practice used in the construction industry
- Facilitate the development of new workflows
Qualifies and skills for a MEP BIM Technician:
- Able to demonstrate ability to undertake the above responsibilities
- Deep understanding of Revit MEP, and workflows between architecture and engineers
- Ability to create families and knowledge of Revit family Editor
- Working knowledge of other CAD packages including Revit/AutoCAD and Rhino
- Experience of working in the building services environment
- Knowledge of Mechanical Electrical and Public health terminology
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
- Responsible, self-motivated and able to work individually and in a team
- Knowledge of Dynamo, Enscape, Scripting languages is highly desirable
