As a mechanical design engineer are you looking to join a thriving regional office for a forward-thinking building services company? Join their South London office and contribute to shaping the future of sustainable building design.

They are seeking a passionate professional with:

• practical experience across sectors including public, education, residential, transport and infrastructure, and leisure.
• Strong expertise in Low Energy Mechanical, Public Health, with aso knowldge of Electrical, and Acoustic Design.
• In-depth knowledge of current Building Regulations, particularly Part L.

The ideal candidate will also bring academic qualifications and a proven track record as a Low Carbon Consultant or similar.

The successful Mechanical engineer (Building Services) will be very client focused and enjoy a close working relationship with clients and project teams.

Split into two parts, you will manage existing Framework agreements, providing consultancy advise to performance specifications completed by “design and build” installers as well as manage the design of bespoke Mechanical Building services and HVAC solutions starting from initial conception to full design and delivery.

This Mechanical Building Services job will include:

• Managing client and other professionals
• Working to Building Services guidelines and manage the production and delivery of safe, reliable and fit for purpose Mechanical Building Services engineering solutions
• Use technical and commercial knowledge and experience to identify and resolve existing and new Building Services engineering issues
• Ensure the scope of the project programme is appropriate and the technical requirements are deliverable and also are delivered in accordance with the brief and standard regulations and guides (CIBSE)
• Manage resources (Engineering, CAD & Administration)
• Identify and implement personal training and CPD requirements of engineers within the team.

Our client is part of a bigger multidisciplinary group which provides fantastic opportunities within the Commercial, Retail and Education business sectors.

Due to a growing demand this established Mechanical Design Engineer role comes with enviable engineering opportunities. You will be working on a variety of projects including Data Centres, High Street chains, Education buildings and Commercial CAT A and CAT B environments. Their ongoing success has created this new Senior Mechanical Design engineer position.

Qualifications

• B.Sc/B.Eng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering
• Member of/or working towards Chartership
