The company:

One of my long-standing and reputable clients, based in the Croydon area, is currently seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to join their growing MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) department. This exciting opportunity has arisen as a result of continued business growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects.

Currently, the company employs a close-knit team of around 30 professionals and consistently prides itself on fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment. Moreover, they offer a fantastic opportunity for junior engineers to gain hands-on experience across a diverse range of sectors, including commercial, educational, and residential developments.

As such, this role is ideal for someone who is passionate about the MEP industry and is eager to take the next step in their career within the Building Services sector. In this position, you’ll have the chance to work alongside experienced engineers, develop your technical skills, and contribute to exciting, real-world projects.

Your overall responsibilities will encompass as a Junior Electrical Design Engineer:

  • Firstly, assisting in the production of full building designs

  • In addition, liaising with clients and arranging client meetings

  • Moreover, assisting in the management of project finances

  • Furthermore, contributing to the development of strong client relationships

  • Additionally, supporting the team in specification writing

  • Lastly, assisting with the appointment, coordination, and management of other consultants and contractors, both internally and externally

Requirements:

    1. Aptitude and/or experience of design software, such as Amtech, Dialux AutoCAD, Revit MEP as well as general Microsoft suite of applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

    4. Good communicator, both verbal and written
    5. Proactive and organis
  • To begin with, excellent communication and presentation skills

  • In addition, sound IT capability

  • Moreover, a recognised qualification in a relevant subject

  • Furthermore, good organisational skills

  • As well as that, a strong team player

  • Equally important, the ability to work well under pressure

  • In terms of technical skills, AutoCAD proficiency is essential

  • Finally, a current, full, clean driving licence is required
