About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Revit Technician to join a multidisciplinary consultancy based in Cornwall. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing technical team working on a variety of MEP and building services projects across sectors such as healthcare, education, commercial, and residential.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Autodesk Revit, a solid understanding of UK construction practices, and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings and 3D models. You’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of coordinated and efficient project designs within a collaborative, office-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and manage high-quality Revit models and technical drawings across multiple projects
- Interpret architectural and engineering drawings for accurate modelling and documentation
- Work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure coordinated design outputs
- Maintain and develop Revit families, templates, and libraries in line with company BIM standards
- Contribute to clash detection and issue resolution using BIM tools where applicable
- Support team collaboration by adhering to workflows and project deadlines
Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Revit Technician within a UK-based architectural or engineering consultancy
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit
- Solid understanding of UK building regulations and modern construction methods
- Ability to interpret and translate architectural and engineering drawings into coordinated Revit models
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong organisational skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
Desirable:
- Familiarity with Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, or other BIM coordination tools
- Understanding of ISO 19650 BIM standards and processes
- Relevant technical qualifications such as HNC/HND, BTEC, or a degree in CAD/BIM or related field
- Experience working with BSRIA Guide BG6 and the RIBA Plan of Work
