About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sustainability / Energy & Building Performance Consultant to join a dynamic and growing London based team. This role is ideal for someone with a technical foundation in energy and sustainability, and who is looking to grow within a collaborative environment with mentoring from experienced professionals.

As a Junior Consultant, you will support a range of projects with a focus on building performance analysis and sustainability assessments. You’ll gain exposure to diverse sectors — perhaps a particular interest in data centres? You would contribute to the delivery of cutting-edge, low-carbon design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of energy and sustainability statements for planning applications
  • Conduct dynamic thermal modelling using IES VE to assess building performance
  • Evaluate designs for compliance with Part LTM52, and TM54
  • Analyze daylighting and overheating risks in line with current guidance
  • Support project teams with modelling, analysis, and reporting tasks
  • Keep up to date with current regulations and best practices in building performance and environmental design

Requirements

  • Proficient in IES VE for building performance modelling
  • Good understanding of UK compliance standards including Part LTM52, and TM54
  • Familiarity with daylighting assessments and overheating analysis
  • Experience producing energy and sustainability statements
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations and planning requirements
  • Minimum 6–12 months professional experience in a similar role within the UK
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn and develop professionally

Desirable

  • Experience working on data centre projects
  • Relevant degree in environmental design, building services engineering, or related field
  • Interest in low-carbon technologies and sustainable design innovation
