Core Responsibilities:

• Lead, design, manage, and supervise electrical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with client briefs, technical requirements, and agreed deliverables such as reports, specifications, and drawings.
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their objectives, agreeing on project scope and level of service, and ensuring project design duties align with the fee structure.
• Assist Associates, Directors, and Group Leaders in monitoring engineering and CAD resource requirements for projects under your control.
• Carry out electrical concept and detailed designs, tender documentation, and on-site supervision, ensuring projects are completed in line with briefs and deadlines.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure all designs are coordinated, technically compliant, and consistent in quality. Provide active contributions during design and project meetings.
• Oversee project progress, manage design variations, and ensure projects stay within budget.
• Maintain excellent relationships with clients and design teams to ensure high satisfaction levels and foster repeat business.
• Pursue new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with existing and potential clients.
• When acting as design team leader, coordinate with other disciplines to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Assist in identifying your personal training and CPD requirements, helping to develop and improve company working practices.
• Implement and manage QA systems and procedures to maintain high standards on all projects.
• Ensure all designs comply with CDM regulations and company health and safety standards.

Role Requirements:

Membership of a professional engineering body (e.g., Associate Engineer, training towards Chartered status).
7-10 years of experience in building services electrical engineering, with strong technical competence.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and team members.
Thorough knowledge of statutory legislation, standards, and CDM regulations.
Proven experience managing projects from concept to completion, ensuring technical, cost, and timeline objectives are met.
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to oversee project teams and resources.
